Kya, a three year old American Pit-bull Terrier came from a shelter in Hailey Idaho in August of 2006. She was trained by Gary and Rosemary Scheihing,  owners of Shine K-9 in drug detection. In September of 2006 Officer Kim Judy  an officer with the Emmett police force since 2004 began working with her. Kya and Officer Judy completed an 80 hour handler's course with Gary and Rosemary.
In January of 2007 Officer Judy and Kya began a Scotch Pines Dog Training course. They graduated top in a class of 35 and gave a fabulous drug detection demonstration to the class on graduation.
Kya and Officer Judy then went on to earn her Canine Good Citizens certificate later in 2007. Kya is the k-9 officer with the Emmett Police Department with Officer Judy as her handler.

Officer Bob Allison and K-9 Officer Skeeter

Skeeter, a two year old lab mix was a rescue dog. He was trained in drug detection by Gary and Rosemary Scheihing in mid 2007.  Rosemary brought him through a Scotch Pines Dog Training course in the summer of 2007. He was then placed with Officer Bob Allison and the Fruitland Police Department.
